About the stone: Morenci Turquoise: While turquoise is one of the oldest stones in history, this particular variety was originally found in a copper mine in Southeastern Arizona during the 1800s. It is known for its rich blues and greens with unique iron pyrite inclusions. However the Morenci Mine was closed in the 1970s, so there is no more in production and is becoming increasing rare and sought after. Turquoise is associated with water, air, and open communication. This particular cut is unique in its large size and resemblance to a bird's eye view of our world, with her oceans and earth islands - it is a stone of protection, peace, strength, expression and unity. No two stones are alike- unique, just like you.
