♡ About the Stone: Sleeping Beauty Turquoise comes from Globe, AZ, and gets its name from the place where its mined: in the Sleeping Beauty mountain range. The mountains are named such as, from a distance, its said to resemble a woman sleeping with her arms crossed. This mine actually shut down in 2012, so whatever is left of this stone is the last of its kind, making this gem increasingly rare! Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones in our history, worn by warriors, kings, queens, and there are numerous varieties. This particular one is prized for its crystal clear blue hues, and said to promote inner peace, emotional calm, hope for the future, and protection. Turquoise is also one of December's birthstones and associated with the throat chakra, promoting clear communication.
