An enchanting slice of Aquamarine gemstone, 25 carats, set in fine silver and sterling silver bezel setting. Hand stamped riveted bail, on 16" sterling silver box chain. All hand fabricated and one of a kind. Stone measures approx. 32x19x5mm in size, pendant not including bail measures approx. 1.5" x 0.9" (38x25mm).
About the Stone: Aquamarine - cool and refreshing like ocean waters; calming; inviting hope, courage & clarity. Coming in hues of greens and blues, Aquamarine is variety of the Beryl family mineral, and has a strong connection to the Sea and water element. The name translates from Latin meaning "Seawater", and was considered a protective stone in folklore for sailors, fishermen, and travelers of sea, and is a valuable gem today. It is a birthstone of March, and Colorado's state gem. Most commonly found in Brazil, Madagasgar, the United States, Australia, India, and Nigeria. Mohs scale 7.5-8.
